Liquor may not Hurt You But what about the other Fellow? 3 Think of the fellows you knew at school or since, decent chaps, too, who are now down and out through liquor. • How many poor fellows are behind iron bars who ought to be caring for their wives and kiddies, and would be, too, if it were not for liquor ? Think of the tragedy of wrecked homes and ruined lives resulting from liquor! And then the poor helpless kiddies who suffer because of drunken parents. Don't you think that it is up to you-to give them a decent chance in life ? Have you ever realised that 2,000 deaths are caused by i liquor in New Zealand every year. Isn't it worth giving up your " spot" to save them ? The "Trade" appeals to you as though you were a callous brute, not caring what happens to others providing you get your "spot." We believe that thousands of decent fellows who enjoy their glass are willing to make the little sacrifice necessary for the sake of those who are suffering because of liquor ? What will You Do? By your vote for Continuance you can condemn men to goal j" and degradation, women to lives of shame and sorrow, children I to suffering and ill-treatment. Or I By voting Prohibition you can save lives, give liberty to S drink victims, reduce crime and lunacy, make miserable homes happy, and give joy to children.
