UNEMPLOYED IN QUEENSLAND.

BRISBANE, November 20. Much unemployment prevails in the city and other centres of Queensland. Deputations have constantly heckled the Government since Mr. T. J. Ryan's retirement from the Premiership. Failing to secure satisfaction, they have appealed to Mr. W. M. Hughes to relieve the situation. Mr. Hughes, who is vigorously conpolitical campaign in Queensland, has promised to provide employment on Commonwealth public works — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
