The only solution of the problem lay in increased production, not only in England, but in France and the rest of Europe. Mr. Cecil Harmsworth (Parliamentary Lnder Secretary for Foreign Affairs*) said that the question of supplying Austria with necessities concerned* not only the Allies, but the whole world. The Economic Council had neither the power 5 nor the means to meet the necessity, j The council decided to continue the 1 inter-Allied agreement regarding food j supplies after December 31 iiext, the date ! originally fixed for its expiry.—(A. and i Cable.)
