I SUPREME COURT SENTENCES. (By Tele_Taph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Chapman, John Lister, found guilty of common assault on a little girl 'at the Basin Reserve, was sentenced to '12 months' imprisonment. Gilbert Gordon Sathcrly, 19 years of age, on a charge of indecent assault on _ girl, was sentenced to two years' ra- ! formative treatment. | Edward Myers, who had a record of 23 previous convictions against him, was 1 sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment . I for false pretences, and was declared aa i habitual criminal. I — CHARGE AGAINST MANAGER. (By Telegrapb.—rress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Arising out of the case in which Brown's Laundry, Ltd., was charged c ! with a breach of contract under the War 1 Regulations, which was heard yesterr; day, Henry Eugene Street, manager of * the laundry, was charged that he did " unlawfully aid and abet Brown's Laun--3 dry, Ltd., to commit an offence against the War Regulations in wilfully breaking a contract by not properly washing certain military blankets. The case is proceeding.
