CONSUL'S RANSOM.
PAID BY MEXICO. WASHINGTON. October 30. It is officially announced that the United States did not pay Mr. Jenkin's ransom to the Mexican bandits who kidnapped him. It is assumed that the Mexican d'overnment paid the amount demanded. —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
