GIRL SPY DEPORTED.
TRIBD TO STAB DETECTIVE. Among those who have been recently deported from Great Britain Is a beautiful •Spaniard, whose activities (the "Dally __eic_" understands) have given the authorities a considerable amount of uneasiness in days gone by.
High-born and of considerable educational attainments, she early took an Interest in Germany, and did her best to further the interests of that country In Great Britain. Her activities became so pronounced that she came under the eye of Scotland Yard, and on one occasion she was taken before Sir (then Superintendent) Patrick Qulnn, of the Special Branc, to be Interrogated. As Sir Patrick was questioning her she flew Into a violent passion, drew a murderous looking knife, and tried to stab the superintendent. Fortunately help was at hand. Two sturdy officers rushed into the room, and after a struggle. In which she tried to stab the newly-arrived officers as well, she was disarmed and removed to a place of safety.
