-Ud_:n_tc_ driven back. HELSINGFORS. October 23. General Yudenitch's forces before Petro£rad are being driven back. The latest communique states that heavy fighting is proceeding north-east of Tsarskoye Selo. The Bolsheviks have recaptured Ligovo and I ulkovo. south of Petrograd. and have landed forces at Wetrozavodsk. in the rear of the British forces, compelling their retirement. Kronstadt is the key position, and cannot yet be taken. I The attempted rebellion against the Bolsheviks in Petrograd. due to despair and lack of food, was easily crushed, but fighting occurs in the streets daily.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
