This week's issue of the "Observer" is cf special interest to the home circle, as in it will be found matter suitable and amusing for men, women, and children. The cartoons include "A Political Puzzle," and "Beware of the Pup"—a splendid pictorial comment on the suggested New Zealand navy. Pictorial pages of comedy detail the adventures of the man who bought at £100 an acre and lightly touches the "War Gratuity Gamble." There are plenty of personal and humorous drawings. The paper covers many hundreds of subjects, which are deftly written about, the "lancings," personal paragraphs, and "porcupines" being exceptionally bright.
