MATCH AT lIIKUTAIA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) jj TAEROA, Monday. r Considerable interest was taken in a foot--11 ball match between married men ami single '• men at Uikutala on Saturday last, which. i-esulted in a win for the married men by 8 points to r>. Bert Alley, for the marls rieri men, played a brilliant game, and is was easily the best forward on the ground, d Winder, 'in the backs, also appeared in ■c pood form, and played an equally fine Is came for the winners; and' Walsh, who >P for some time past has taken no part in m the came, showed something like his old- ! time dash. Among the single men it was i difficult to distinguish the outstanding nlavers, as man for man they all seemed h'to breast the line at the same time. 'Ihe v- losers entertained the winners to a dinner b, in the evening. Songs, recitations, and It other musical and vocal items were reny dered. Several patriotic toasts were also 9: given and duly honoured.
