IMPROVED TIME-TABLES. FROM DECEMBER 1. (By Telegraph.—Press Aseoclation.) WELLINGTON, this day. Replying to a deputation which waited m him to-day from the Onslow Progressive Association relative to railway maters, Mr. Massey said that the whole of :he suburban services were under consideration and being revised. He agreed hat one of the main remedies for the lousing problem was an improved suburban railway service, but every■liing could not be done at once. Officers if the Railway Department were working hard on the suburban service, and a lew time-table would be put into opera:ii>n on December 1, It was the policy if the Government and the Department lo meet the requirements of the people. I'Voni liis experience as a resident of Auckland and Wellington, he knew the ■onditions and circumstances were constantly changing, And what might he good ■nougii one year was not good enough next year, i lie Department had to move ivith'the times, and would do so. realising that the railways were the property if the people and run to meet the peoples' needs.
