VALUELESS CHEQUES.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TATJRAKGA, Thursday. At the Police Court to-day Robert George appeared on a charge of obtaining goods by false pretencee by means of a valueless cheque. He was centenced to three months' imprisonment. On a second charge of obtaining goods to the value of £15 14/ and £10 0/ by false pretences by means of a. valueless cheque, he wae committed to the Snpreme Court at Auckland for sentence.
