MONEY FOR RUM.
POVERTY - STRICKEN SLY GKOGGER. FIXED FIFTY POUNDS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, this day. Robert Fergusson, Piopio, was fined £50 and costs for sly-grog selling. He recently escaped a judgment summons for £1 8/ on a plea of poverty, but found £13 15/ for rum. The Magistrate, Mr. ■L. W. Burton, commented on this very severely.
