A DANGEROUS GAME.
SEAMEN'S WEIRD FRANKS. LONDON, September 4. The correspondent of the "Times" at Liverpool reports that 17 of the crew of the steamer War Magpie, bound for Russia, with war stores, including a large cargo of bombs, stole 400 bottles of whisky, brandy, and port from the hold. A drunken orgy followed, the men throwing bombs recklessly about, and endangering not only their own ship, j but the whole of the shipping in the Mrrsey. as portion of their cargo consisted of petrol. The offenders were arrested and sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
