HOST SENT TO ARGENTINA. (Received 2.45 p-m.) LONDON, September 17. Mr. Charles Tower, the "Times" Berlin correspondent, reports that Germany is sending _ host of commercial -travellers to the Argentine, where they hope to grab the trade from America, promising to absorb the whole surplus production of wheat, meat, 'hides and wool. ' Americans living in Germany are being placated for trade reasons, the argument being that as America suffered few casualties in the war they should forgive and forget. On the ©ther band French merchants are compelled to buy in Germany, which is the Only place where French money is at a premium.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
