FREEZING SPACE SHORT.
I SYDNEY, this day. The Shipping Controller states that no further shipping space is available for frozen meat. The amount 'which is stored in Australia at present represents more than the total annual pre-war export. In order to prevent paralysis in the beef and mutton trades the Controller urges the provision of more refrigerated space on land as well as the present storage. Fire destroyed the Curtiss freezing -works at Barraba, the damage being estimated at £15,000. —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
