AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The fortnightly meeting of the executive committee of the Auckland HovKey Association was held at the Spouts Club room on Tuesday evening. McGregor. ■A protest was received from the University Club In connection wlfli a goal allowed by the referee in the University-Areta second grade match. The Teferee furnished a report admitting that a mistake had been made, and it was decided that the match lie replayed at the end of 'the round, should it affent the result of the competition The Mount E-den Club wrote aisclalmtng any official connection with a lehter from Mr. IV. Rankin, which appeared in the Press on August 23, criticising the Selector' and executive committee. The set-ret-ary was instructed to thank the club for the letter and to express regret that a member of the <lul> had failed to take the constitutional i-method of obtaining redress of any sunposed grievance.
The representative team attended at the invitation of the committee, to discuss moans of raMit; fn-ntis to send the team to ( hristchnrr-h in quesc of the New Zealand rhalleiis-c Shield. A working committee embracing the executive and representative players, was formed, •sub-commintees were appointed, and the initial arrangements -were made for the raising of the nece=«arr funds.
Mr. R. t,. Stoma n was appointed captain of the representative team. The question of arranging practices was left iv the hands or Mr. 11. B. Speight. REPRESENTATIVE TEAM. The representative team will play a practice match against Training College at Vie'""'i ' '> rl " tp-morrow Thursday) afternoon. Nt 4..-0. All members of the team must attend.
