NORTHCOTE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The Northcote School Committee last evening appointed Mr. Robt. Darlow chairman and Mr. A. E. H. Harrison treasurer. Mrs. A. E. Taylor was welcomed as a new member of the committee.
It was decided to send a letter of conIgratulatlon to the headmaster and staff | upon the very satisfactory nature of the inspector's report upon the school.
Tenders are to be invited for ploughing and grassing the ground!? of the side -choo'.s nt both Northcote and Rirkenh-itl It was decided to Intimate to the Birkenhead Council' that no definite scheme of Improvement regarding the Birkenhead [school ground had yet been decided upon but that it was necessary that It should be ploughed and graded immediately. Steps are also to be taken with a view to having both school grounds fenced. The roll numbers and average attendances for the month were: Main school 276 1(255.2). Northcote Infant school 100 fjßm and Birkenhead infant school 228 (205.5). '
