A SCHOOLMASTER FINED. ~ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTOX NORTH, this day. Judgment was given to-day by Mr, Stout, S.M., in the case of A. O. Buckler, headmaster of West End School, Palmerston North, charged with assaulting Jack Cornford, a pupil at the school. The magistrate recorded a conviction, holding that the master administered excessive punishment; that medical evidence showed the punishment was beyond the bounds of moderation. He inflicted a tine of £2 and costs £7 11/0. .-
