DRIVERS' AGREEMENT.
(By Tei.'jrrnph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHITRCa, Friday. An agreement was reached at a conciliation council to-day in the dispute [ between the Canterbury Motor, Horse Drivers, and Livery Stable Employers' Union and the employers. The principal issue was the question of wages, the union asking a minimum of V-i 10/ per week, which the employers conceded. The: employment of youths was agreed to <m I the basis of one for each company em- '; ploying one adult, and rail , for each four j additional adults. The rates of wages | were fixed as follows: IS to 10 years. r,C,/ ; 1!) to 20, 4Z/; 20 to 21, 50/. In I other respect the terms of the old award j were accepted.
