In connection with the Ornmahoe Maori shooting tragedy, although the police are extremely reticent, they liavo I been able, to gather tlint Iliiinaera, the second victim, died in Kawakawa Hospital yesterday morning about nine o'clock. Before lie died he started to make a statement, in connection with the tragedy, but expired before he could complete the same. 1 Shortly after Hiimaera's death the Ij. police arrested a half-caste named ! i Walter Aflh.by, employed in Mr. Wilson's
blacksmith shop at Kawnkawa. on suspicion as being implicated in the shootimr. Aehbv 16 at present in Kawakawa lock-up.
