The chairman, Mr. "Wallace, said that the Defence Department had gone about it in their usual military style. They had ignored the Board in the matter, the first intimation being received at the Home. When he heard of this he went out immediately, and informed those in charge not to accept any instructions from anyone but the 1-fSdical Superintendent. The Board had not so far received anything in writing conveying the decision of the Department. Dr.Ma-guire (Medical Superintendent): I have got it in writing.
