TERRITORIAL TRAINING.
SIR JAMES ALLEN'S SCHEME. FOR PARLIAMENTARY DISCUSSION (By Telegraph.—rrcss Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. One of tho contentions in the Auckland Presbytery's pronouncement on Sir •lames Allen's proposals for the newterritorial training scheme was that before any addition i_ made to the pre-war system of training, the whole question should be carefully considered by representatives of the people in the new Parliament. It is understood that the proposals which the Defence Minister has made for the introduction of a scheme, which will embody war lessons and produce greater efficiency, do not require new legislation. Sir .lames Allen! stated to-day that there will be ample' opportunity for discussion by Parlia-1 ment of any such question. It is not likely that any great changes will be made in the training system before j Parliament is made fully aware ot! them. ;
