ARRIVAL ON THE COAST. "OEFENCE AGAINST AGGRESSION (Received 0.45 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, August 11. Mr. Josephus Daniels (!Secretary of the Navy), welcoming the Pacific fleet's arrival, said that the fleet was intended to constitute the permanent defence of the Pacific coast against possible aggrcs- I gion by any foreign foe.—(A. and N.Z.)
