County Clare has been proclaimed under the Defence of the Realm Act owing to lawlessness existing there. j Sir Edward Carson presided at a | special meeting of the Ulster Unionist j Council at Belfast, which decided to rej vise the lister political organisations. [He will inaugurate a political campaign I next month. ! The Home Oflice is deporting an Amerilean member of the Sinn Fein named Ml'l.o.irke. who brought American money to England to lead a working class revolt.
