The Weather Bureau forecast for 24 hours from 0 a.m. this day is as follows: "The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but moderate to strong southerly prevailing soon. Expect dull, weather, with much mist and fog in' parts. Rain probable. Barometer unsteady, but rising soon. Tides good; sea moderate."
