THE "AUCKLAND STAR."

PEACE NUMBER TO-MORROW. AN ARTISTIC PRODUCTION. ''The finest piece of work produced by any daily newspaper in Australasia" was the verdict. ..passed... .by ..a ynaster, printer Who hid' an dpportunity •of • seeing an early proof of the Peace Commemoration Supplement that is to be given to "Star" readers to-morrow. Into ten artistic pages, profusely illustrated, a brief history of the years of war is compressed. Xo phase of the. conflict is neglected, and special prominence is given to New Zealand activities. The record is one that every Aucklander will be proud to possess. Arrangements have been made to deliver the supplement to subscribers in city and suburbs to-morrow morning, and in the event of a wet and windy day we would strongly advise householders to be on the look-out for the tunncr. NO "EIGHT O'CLOCK." NO MONDAY PAPER. There will be the usual issue of the "Auckland Star" to-morrow, and anyone wishing to make an announcement is requested, where possible, to lodge it before nine o'clock to-night at this office. Thero will be no issue of the paper on Monday, and advertisers should bear this iv mind in arranging for publicity.

The usual eight o'clock Saturday edition will not be published.
