Southern Offices of New Zealand, per Train. at 4 a.m. Waikoptia, at S a.m. New 'Plymouth ?nd Southern Offices (also special letter mail), per Rarawa. at 8 a.m. Russell. Ohaeawai. Kohukohu, Rawcne, etc., I at S a.m. ! Whangarei Heads. Whangarei. Hikurangi, Kawakawa. etc., at S a.m. Tunis. Paeroa. Waihi. Thames. Waikino. Karangahake. and Te Aroba. at S a.m. PEACE CELEBRATIONS. HOLIDAY ATTENDANCE. The following hours of attendance will be observed at the Chief Post Officei— (>n FRIDAY, rhe 18th inst.. a delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) will be made over the counter, in the Postmen's Branch, from 7 30 to 8.30 p.m. Un SATURDAY, the 19th inst.. the Chief Post Office will be closed in all branches, and no delivery will be made by postmen. Mails usually dispatched after S a.m. will be closed at that hour. Suburban receiving boxes will be cleared at (5 a.m. On MONDAY, the 21sr inst.. the Chief Post Office will be open to the public in all branches from 9 to 10 a.m., and one complete delivery will be made by postmen lv city and suburbs. Mails will be dispatched as usual up to 8 a iv.. and Those usually closing later will close at'that hour. Suburban receiving boxes will be cleared at ti a.m. W. GEE. Chief Tostmastcr.
