PRISONER RECAPTURED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Lawrence John Maloney, the prisoner *vho escaped on Monday fast, was recaptured in a street at Newtown this morning -by a policeman who knew him. Recognition was mutual, and Maloney had a good run before he was recaptured. The escapee, who was just out of hospital, was miserably cold and hungry.
