TyNNEHLERS AS MINERS. (By Telegraph.— i Press Association.) WASTGAXUI, Monday. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-night the coal Ehortage was discussed. It -ivas pointed out that the original locomotives for the Manawatu railway were equipped for burring wood and it was urged that if that type ot locomotive was still available it should oe used. Another suggestion made was that the Government should offer the - tunnelling corps on its return -from France to work coal areas, either on a royalty-or wages aod bonus basis.
