Barclay, of the Wellington office, has been appointed manager of the Australian Mutual Provident Society's Invercargill branch, in succession to Mr. A. G. Kemp, who goes to Oamaru. Major G. S. Sharp. N.Z.M.C. who left with the Main Body, and has served throughout the war, is expected to return to New Zealand by the Ruahiiie. due July 4th. Mr. W. 11. Hawkins, who recently returned from active service, has been appointed organiser and lecturer for the Prohibition party, with headquarters at Napier. Mr. -T. J. Feeney has resigned from the Wanganui branch of the South British Insurance Company to join the firm of Messrs. Smith, Webster and Co. Mr. Patrick McGregor, who has just died, aged 95 years, was an early settler in Southland. He was one of the original members of the 105 th Highland Regiment He came to New Zealand 44 years ago.
