DISRUPTION IN GERMANY.
SEPARATIST MOVEMENTS. THE RHINELAND FIASCO. (By Cable.—jPress Association.— Copyright.) (Received 9.25 a.m.) LONDON", June 3. The "Daily Telegraph" states that the attempt to establish a Rhineland Republic led to adverse manifestations. Several correspondents describe the effort as a fiasco. A general strike was ordered ih the American area of occupation as a protest against the attempt to establish the Republic, but the American military authorities suppressed the trouble in a few hours. The German Government has issued an order for the arrest of the President of the Rhine Republic.
Separatist movements are afoot in Hanover and Bavaria, and an active propaganda is also progressing in favour of a Republic comprising East and West Prussia.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
