NEW SCALE OF SALARIES, CLERICAL DIVISION. ALL-ROUND INCREASES. The new scale of salarie« and increments for the clerical division of the Public Service has been gazetted. It replaces the old scale in the third schedule of the Public Service Act, 1912. Under the old scale the Service was divided into eight classes, and under the new scale there are seven classses. Details of the new scale are: — Special class (new): £650 to £750; two increments of £50. Class 1: £550 to £600; one increment. Class 2: £475 to £500; one increment. Class 3: £425 to £450; one increment. Class 4: £375 to £400; one increment. Class 5: £315 to £350; one increment of £15 and one of £20. Class 6: £240 to £300; three increments of £20. Class 7: £65 to £95, by increments of £15; thereafter to £180, by increments, of £25, £20, £25, and £15, to £180; thereafter to £270, by increments of £20, with efficiency bars at £ liso and £220.
