" S : , A [ atal accident occurred ve-.terdav, ad I whereby a well-known settler of Omalm m-|(near Puriri, Thames Valley) lost his C- life. :Nob o dy actually saw the accident led but irom evidence given at the inquest er- and examination of the road it appeared al that deceased was returning in a cart tiy from the station and stopped to pick of up a dog from the roadside. The horse msjwas evidently startled, wheel mirks showing sharp swerves over a bankwhere the cart capsized Deceased was found by Mrs. Judd, his wife, and a native. Mr. Judd was quite dead. The inquest was adjourned.
