THE NATIONAL THEATRE. Tie National programme, including a thrUling drama, "The Kid Is Clever," in which Gorge Waleh takes the leading role, and varied and interesting snpports, continues to draw large audiences. Some rarely beautiful ecencs are laid in the Florida swamps. The Story tells of two outcasts, one from society and the other from the wild and untamed race of swamp dwellers. The swamp dweller's strange customs and habits form part at the theme of the story. Beautiful mnslo accompanies the (programme. THE STRAND THEATRE. The Strand Theatre programme Is especially" attractive, the pre-eminent picture being "Woman." in which a strong cast is engaged. "Woman" Is a startling study of sex analysis through the ages to the present time. The first episode Is Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and the last, the great war, In which woman is shown as noble and heroic as ever. It is an enchanting and fascinating photo-play, which, together with fine supports and special music, makes it the plesant entertainment it is. "RACE STHCIDE." The latest problem picture, "Race Suicide," >wili be screened in Auckland, commencing at the Globe Theatre on Saturday next. It is a story out the struggle of mother lore throughout the ages, culminating in a present-day story.of the woman •who postponed the natural result of marriage until it was too late. The picture handles a delicate subject boldly, and throughout contains ample thrills and is superb as a story. Its action is swift, and its plot is most interesting. Ormi Hawley I and Earl Metcalfe appear in the leading roles. "Race Suicide" was a huge success last week, when first shown <n Wellington. The "Evening Post ,, says: "It Is a remarkably powerful and forceful piotuTe that speaks plainly of a great social vice." A supporting programme -Kill also be screened. THE TIVOLI THEATRE. "In Pursuit of Polly," at the Tivoli Theatre. Popular Billie Burfce has eclipsed all previous performances. The play is full of thrills, and the interest Is well sustained to the conclusion. A most sensational motor car race between three lovers is one of the outstanding features of the production. There are other fine films ana splendid music. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. Vivian Martin, In "Viviette," the bis feature at Everybody's Theatre, Is attracting very large crowds. The programme, the balance of which comprises interesting supports and refreshing music, will remain in session until to-morrow morning, when s change of programme will be installed. THE PRIXCESS THEATRE. * The chief picture in the Princess programme is a thrilling western drama, "Hell's Hinges," in which William Hart takes the leading role. ..
