According to Sir James Allen, there are about £000 jSew Zealand soldiers still in Egypt. He hopes that half may, arrive home in June, and half in July. The Auckland milk vendors indicate that milk supplies are very ehort, and unless the public practice economy, it may be necessary to resort to rationing. Peace between the Ukrainians and the Poles has been arranged by the "Big Four," and the Polieh and Ukrainian, armies will unite to expel the Bolsheviks. It has been decided that soldiers , wives shall be entitled to free treatment at St. Helen's Hospital up to 12 months after their husbands' return to Kew; Zealand. The organisers of the new Women's Club have secured premises in Swanson Street, and have decided to raise £1000 by mean 3of debentures in order tq finance the scheme. , Hon. G. W. Russell hopes that, the shipping embargo may be entirely lifted at an early date, and. that a restricted passenger service to Sydney and Melbourne may be started in a few days.
