FARMERS' UNION.
ORGANISATION PROPOSALS. The Auckland provincial conference o£ the New Zealand Farmers' Union was. continued at the Town Hall Concert Chamber thi3 morning. The conference spent the morning in committee discussing matters of organisation, the' executive bringing down proposals suggesting a number of radical changes with a view to organising the farmers into a strong union consisting of not less than 90 per cent of all classes of primary producers. It was proposed, also, that a graduated scale of subscriptions be adopted on the basis of the unimproved value of the agricultural land owned by each member on the scale of 10/ up to a value of £1000, and IQJ for every subsequent f 1000, with a maxk mum of £5. A further proposal wai the issue of a bi-monthly newspaper, to be issued free to every member. These matters were still under discussion when we went to press. VISIT TO FERTILISER WORKS AH' TEPAPA. A special train has been arranged to leave the Auckland railway station at 2 p.m. to-morrow- (Thursday; to convey all farmers visiting Auckland for farm. era' rveek for «the purpose of inspecting the N.Z. Farmers' Fertiliser Company's manure and acid works in course of erection.
