WAIKATO WINTER SHOW.
j GREAT DAIRY EVENT. Everything possible is being done by the Waikato Winter Show Committee to make their forthcoming five-day event, opening on June 3 at Hamilton, one of the most successful in the history of the Association, and if one can judge from the arrangements already well in hand there is every promise, conditionally fine weather prevails during the period, of this object being attained. The spacious buildings adjacent to the railway station, which' in past years have so admirably suited the requirements of the Committee, is being transferred into a veritable hive of the good things that the dairy farmer of the Waikato is so juslty proud of. The prize list is much more comprehensive than previously, the result being that the secretary has been inundated with applications for space from all parts of the province and Island. Thus the entries, which already surpass the most sanguine hopes, continue to soar up, all sections promising to provide something in the way of a record and an eyeopener for the local residents and visitors who will be attracted as usual in large numbers to the great event. Excluding poultry there are 484 entries. The poultry section again promises to be , well patronised. ,
