PROPOSED LOAN OF £1,250,000 FOR THE PURCHASE AND DEVELOP. MENT OF THE ELECTRIC TRAMWAY'S IN THE CITY OF AUCKLAND. The Mayor. Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland hereby gives notice In pursuance of Section 0 of the abovemeutiuned Act. 1. That the purpose for which the Loan is required is the purchase from the Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Limited, of the Electric Tramways in the City and Suburbs of Auckland, with the concessions, plant, properties, und other business assets of the Company, and the further development aud improvement of the undertaking. 2. That the Auckland City Council being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of the ordinary revenue of the City proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding fl ,250,000. 3. That the proposed security for the repayment ofsneh Loan shall be the revenue of the City of Auckland, subject to the existing Loans chargeable on such revenues. 4. That the Auckland .City Council proposes lo make such Loan repayable in twenty-one years mid proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of not less than One Pound per centum per annum.
