. I NEARLY SIX INCHES. J It would scorn that the spell of dry, I fine autumn weather that has been existing in Auckland fur some time past i has now broken finally. Yesterday was ! showery, and the rain increased towards : night, becoming a steady fall until the early hours of the morning. To-day broke clear, and seems to promise a period of clear autumn days. The total rainfall for 24 hours, ending at 9 a.m., amounted to .61 inches. The total to date for the month is 5.03 inches. ! I
