MELBOURNE, this day. The compulsory conference between the parties to the shipping dispute has been adjourned until Thursday. An amicable feeling prevailed, and it is confidently anticipated an early settlement will result.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) SVDNKV, this day. The Trades Hall officials anticipate an early settlement, iis the decision to strike wag not unanimous. The majority of the men would welcome an early resumption of work.
