Commfesioncr T. TTonry Howard, Chief of the Staff of the Salvation Army, from London, is visiting New Zealand in his official capacity, and condwtiiif; the Jubilee Celebrations in the Town Hall on Sunday. June i. which have had to be postponed owinp to the war. Commissioner Howard entered the Army :iS years a.;o. and has practically come rijrht up through the various offices. At one time he had the oversight of the Army work in Australia and New Zealand, has n 1 -<. filled the chief executive positions of the Army in London, and las seen the Army's work in almost every land. At the death of General Booth. Commissioner Howard was appointed ( hief of the Staff to General Bramwell Month, which position he has filled with distinction.
