AFGHAN INCURSIONS
ON THE INDIAN FRONTIER. VICEROY'S MESSAGE TO AMIR. (Received 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 9. Lord Chelmsford (Viceroy of India) has sent a strong remonstrance to the Amir of Afghanistan demanding that his subjects be restrained from incursions on the frontier. It is anticipated that sufficient British troops will be available to deal promptly with the trouble.— (A. and N.Z. Cabie.)
