(By Telegraph. —Press Association.) DCXEDIX, Friday. The Dunedin magistrate gave judgment to-day in a ca-e in which a youth Mas charged with having failed to register as a territorial. The defence was that the youth was a statutory alien, his father having been naturalised as an American citizen. His Worship said no documents were produced in this case, lie thought there had been some confusion regarding the rights of individual States in America and those of United States citizenship. The father of defendant was not in a position to become an American citizen, because he had not resided there long enough to comply with tile conditions. As the matter had been raised in a perfectly bona tide way be would simply order the defendant to pay costs.
