REPARATION FOR BELGIUM.
AN URGENT APPEAL. (Received 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, May 2. Brussels messages emphasise thi; urgency of the- restoration of Belgian industries. Outside assistance is imperative. The Premier, who bus returned from Paris, stated that Belgium's reparation would appear in the peace treaty, but they cannot expect immediate payment. The Senate decided to appeal to Britain nnd the Allied Parliaments tb redeem their promises of prompt and complete reparation. — (A. and N.Z.)
