HAMILTON ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of {lie Hamilton Hockey Association Mr. \V. G. Fabling presided. The report reminded members that during the coming season they would be called upon to defend the iS'orden Cup, contests for which had been suspended during the war, und that therefore they would require to be assiduous in their practice. Mr. Hatch, of Christchurch, had donated a challenge cup for school competitions, but the chairman did not think it would be possible to send v team South during the coming season to represent llaniiltnr. schools. If, however, some local resident would donate a trophy they could start school competitions locally. Mr. Hunter intimated that he was prepared to do this, and a committee, comprising Messrs. Fabling, Hunter and Layer, was set np to approach the headmasters of the primary schools re arranging such a competition. The elerlion of officers resulted: President, Mr. E. Wilson : vice-presidents. Messrs. 11. Fraser. A. P. Hydo. R. Wuitten; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. H. Layer; committee, two delegates from each of the affiliated clubs. The prospects for the ensuing Benson are particularly bright, and the fact that Saturday Half-holiday will be ln force . will enable teams to travel.
