OBITUARY.
MR. A. F. McMINN. Information was received by telegram this morning of the death in "Wellington of Mr. Archibald Forbes McMinn, whose father resides in this city, and ia attached to the Auckland "Star" staff. The deceased was well-known in football circles as "Tiny" McMinn, being about six feet four inches jn height, and built proportionately. He toured Australia with a New Zealand football representative team some years ago. Mr. MeMinn wae also recognised a3 a first-class drummer, being for many years a member of a band at Palmerston, where he was born about forty years ago- He is survived by a widow and two children, whose home is in Dannevirke.
MR. GEORGE G. RUSSELL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The death is announced at Bournemouth, England, of Mr. George Gray Russell, aged 90, formerly of the firm of Russell, Ritchie and Co., of Dunedin, which business was taken over in 1878 by the National Mortgage and Agency Company- He took a keen interest in public affairs, especially educational-
