LIBERAL PARTY SPLIT.
LONDON, April 6. Members of the Liberal party who met at the House of Commons rejected a proposal to form two distinct groups from the Independent and Coalition Liberals. The meeting invited Mr. George Lambert to accept the chairmanship of the nonofficial Liberals. —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
