HOTORUA. I The Champion Pairs Match of the Kotorua Bowling Club was continued on Saturn day. The following are the results:—Herd and Shepherd—2l. v. Tapper and Pakes— 10; Jervis and "Wilkie—l7, v. Smith and McFarlace —ls; TVylie and Butt—2o, v. Taylor and Fitzgerald—lß; Hunt and Brown—23, v. Scott and Banks—l 4; Young and Jones —29, v. Sergeants Rose and TayIor—15; Webber and Ashton—2o, v. Richardson and Floyd—18; Young and Jones—lß, v. Newby and Manson —15; Richards and Floyd—lß, v. Smith and McFarlane—lo; Tapper and Pakes—l7, v. Webber and Ashton —16; Sherriff and Teape—2o, v. Sergeants Rose and Taylor— Iβ; Hunt and Brown—3o, v. Wylie and 1 Butt—l 2. Rifle shooting in the district has revived owing to the interest taken in the rifle meeting of No. 17 Group, to be fired at Te Puke. Visitors are numerous at present, inoet of the hotels and boardinghouses being full or Tery near it.
At present there is a very decided de- , mand for homse properties in Te Aroha, and quite a number of sales have been reported. The high price of building materials has resulted in very lew residences being built lately, consequently there Is a scarcity of dwellings.
