KING'S V. GRAMMAR. FOR THE HEATHCOTE-WXLX,IAan3 SHIELD. On the Domain to-morrow and Friday King's College and the Auckland Grammar School will meet in a contest for the 'Heathcote-Williams Shield. Owing to the healthy rivalry that exfats between Auckland's two principal schools, and to the fact that each possesses a good eleven, Jin interesting and exciting game Is anticipated. The Heatlieote-Willlnins Shield. Is a challenge shield for competitlVi amongst •New Zealand Secondary Schools. It came to Auckland In 1915, when the Auckland 'Grammar School defeated Christchurch. ■High School in Christchurch 'by over an innings. Since then the Chrlstcnurch boys Ihave come North on two occasions, but the local boys proved too good each time, and so the shield still has Its home in Auckland. This is the flrst time that King's College liave played for the shield; and as the last match between the two elevons resulted In a drawn game of 203 runs each on the flrst innings, a fine game should be witnessed to-morrow and 'Friday. Play commences each day at 10.30 a.m., and the luncheonadjournment will take place at 12.30, afternoon play resuming at 2 p.m. The following are the teams:— Auckland Grammar School (holders). — Cox (capt.), Kelly, Burns> Badeley. Dunning, Wlielan, iMuoklow, Jaggs, Stretton, •IJntott. and iPostles. Emergencies: Goodman and Watson. King's College (challengers).—Philips (capt.). Heard. Murray, Farquhar, Otway, Buekland, Colville. Gee, Keegan, Kddowes, and Pritchard. Emergency: Caughey.
