A STITCH IN TIME. 3 The members of the \Mt. Eden Borough 3 Council who had acted on the district 3 relief committees during the epidemic, * reported to the Council last night, re- ■ commending that the St. John Ambu--1 lance Society be asked to hold classes in the district for the teaching of home ' nureing and hygiene, that an endeavour ' °be made by circular and advertisement r to ascertain the probable nunVber ot 1 pupils, and that an option bo obtained. ■' on a suitable depot, with a view to n having it available at short notice. The Mayor (Mr. C. Hudson) stated 3 that this proposal was intended as an 1 endeavour to be prepared in the event of another outbreak of influenza, in view of the fact that there were still influenza ea-es prevalent. The efforts of the j I voluntary workers during the epidemic •j I time had been restricted a good deal by delay in getting a depot. The recommendations were adopted.
